Big love goes out to Fig's Mum who sent me some flowers but addressed them to herself rather than me causing the concierge to return them as "unknown at this address". Rest assured M & S are re-delivering them to me tomorrow. Its a lovely thought though Janet, thank you. J x

That's My Girl!
Cedit Card ... Well it was Ma n 'Pa Figs' 39th Wedding Anniversary yesterday, so pennies were spent on making them feel spesch.
As for the name 'Fig' ... it's a short and sadly scandal free tale that I shall happily regale you with one day.
Suffice to say that, over the years friends and aquaintances have all suggested their own variations and derivations. My Favourite was from a Drag Queen called Brenda Biggs (or was it 'Beryl') who dared to suggest that I might have been given the moniker 'Fig' as I was an Exotic Fruit. Oh How I laughed ... as I gouged her eyes out with a pencil.
