Christopher Plummer doesn't sing Edelweiss in The Sound of Music. Unbelievably BBC4 has both versions - the ghost singer and Plummer's own version. He sounds terrible. Apparently he hated the fact that he was dubbed and referred to the film as The Sound of Mucus ever afterwards....
Interestingly (OK so I'm a geek) it's the one film where Marnie Nixon (ghost singer extraordinaire - she did them all) actually appears as herself. Sister Sophia on Climb Every Mountain.
We're now looking at more obscure stuff. I've never even seen Camelot.... J x
