Sunshine

Finally. Spring has arrived in Paris. Spent some time today sat in the sunshine in the Tuileries gardens. Proper lovely it was. Had attempted to get into the Musee D'Orsay but the queues were ridiculous so we gave up. Out tonight locally for a meal and found a fabulous Italian restaurant. I had a pasta dish for the main course which was prepared by pouring some grappa onto a wheel of Parmesan cheese, flaming the alcohol and then scraping off the softened Parmesan which was then used in the pasta sauce. Fabulous. Also rediscovered the Americano cocktail that I used to adore when I lived in Toulouse. Relatively early night tonight as have journey home tomorrow. We leave Paris about 1600 and get back to Manchester at around 2100. How fantastic is that for a train journey?  Will see you all soon therefore... :-) J x
