Blogging to you live from the Macmillan staff conference in Yarnfield (it's Stafford way) where I'm a turn. Have decided not to preview my new karaoke number (Rhinestone Cowboy) or indeed my old one (Daydream Believer). Instead I am to be interviewed by a series of Teams looking to put together a "pitch" (à la Apprentice) for how they would redesign the system for the delivery of cancer services in Manchester. Am hoping that I get to point to people and say "you're fired" at regular intervals... :-)
In other news, mother's chemotherapy went well and she's feeling OK at the moment. Hopefully she will be fit enough to come to Amsterdam next Tuesday.
