Hurrah

Managed to remove the Cranford voting thingy. Watch this space for the next thrilling vote. I think the voting came down on the side of Cranford indeed being the best thing on telly. The percentage margin would have been higher except that I believe Mrs T voted a number of times for the cow... That's all. J x

Do I have no secrets ! Glad you had a fab weekend albeit tinged with sadness for your family.Postive vibes to your uncle.
I am hobbling around without my sticks etc. I have managed 2, slow, unescorted walks. I have driven the car on a few short journeys.
So a visit to Manchester next week looks possible.I will wash the white gloves in preparation.
Charlie should be home so all the best for his continued improvement.
Love The T's + pooch xx

Well, Mrs T does like spotty animals as we know so you shouldn't be too surprised that she kept voting for the cow. She was probably eyeing the design of the cow's pyjamas with a view to producing a bastardised version for the spotless fiend (or for Kev - who knows?).

And somehow Larkrise to Candleford isn't as engaging as Cranford even though some actors were in both productions. I like Dawn French but there is something about her which irritates the hell out of me when she is acting a serious part.
It's as if she can't stop the comic gurning and forced laughter.

Charlie is now home with daily visits to district nurse (no, dear, they don't do home visits these days unless the hospital pre-books them; all those films of jolly nurses on bicycles visiting the sick are just nostalgic dreams). But he is getting better slowly and we do have some fortisips to build him up. I'm sure he feels a pint of bitter would do him far more good but he is denied access to The Mad Hatter for the time being.

But crippled sis is visiting soon to share the task of nursing a grumpy patient for a little while so that may keep him in order for a day or two.

Sad news about your uncle, dear; who better than you to discuss it with him?

I do subscribe to your view about quality over quantity but I wonder if I would still feel the same given grim news. My Mum always used to say that God fits the burden to the back but I wonder if that isn't a facile way of smoothing over the fact that we don't have the luxury of choosing our own end.

What news on the flat refurb? And the extended holiday?

Glad to hear that Bill is doing well (and Jane of the fab shoes); also glad Aged Ps are enjoying life to the full.

Love as always
