In the vast collection of tattoo books and magazines, there are a few photos or interviews where people speak specifically of getting work done over both scars and stretch marks. The tattooing shouldn't be done if the skin is still healing or changing following whatever caused the dermal trauma.
Since I don't get the all clear for 2 years (well, 5 years really but they'll have a good idea after 2) I can celebrate at the 2 year point with a tattoo. Now there's another competition, what to have tattooed on my chest...
