What were you doing up at four thirty in the morning? Or had you not gone to bed yet? (apologies for the shocking use of tense there ... heading American-ward in my lexicon and grammar - eek).
However that view serves as a further enticement as it reminds me I'm due at yours in a few short days.
Open The Floodgates, Release The Bats and roll out the red carpet at Piccadilly. He arrives by train on Friday!
By train? My dear, is it the chauffeur's week off?
No idea why I awoke at that hour. I think the beauty just called to me. Rest assured I went back to bed and back to sleep.... Recharging my batteries ready for your disembarkation.... J x
Arriving by train was absolutely not my first choice, but Gatwick don't appear to offer direct flights to Manchester anymore; one either fly’s from Heathrow - which, in just getting there rather negates the time gained - or goes from Gatwick via (wait for it) the Isle of Man ... which takes FOUR HOURS.
A total failure of service, in my not so humble and rather well educated and sniffy opinion.
However I will be able to arrive right in the centre of Manchester and trundle my little case along its cobbledy streets without demanding a lift from you. You can expect a text when I'm imminent; your sign to loosen the top of the gin, hide your valuables and fire up the games console.

Incidentally, were readers aware that one can get sick from simply getting off a train. It's true!
Apparently links don't copy over to comments. I'll need to do a separate post.... *deep sigh as contemplates the limits of technology*

We'll talk before Friday but of course I'll be picking you up from the station.... So excited. *squeals and claps hands in feverish excitement* J x
