Yesterday. Went to work, came home, fell asleep on sofa, watched "...Celebrity..." went to bed. How exciting is that? Which is why I no longer post every day.
Off to a conference though this morning (oooh, very exciting) all about Risk. And now you've all fallen asleep again...
John arrives this afternoon for the weekend. It'll be good to see him again. Not decided what we're going to do yet (well, not all the time anyway). Might go and see the new Bond film. Might do some Xmas shopping. Might get drunk (although this latter is likely to take a long time at the rate of one bottle of beer per hour).
Have decided to send Young Sean a hamper from Harvey Nicks for Xmas to thank him for keeping me alive this year. J x

J - you just gave it away when you said you watched "celebrity". Well just as you have shown avid interest in how Jason Donovan washes out his smalls, so we are avid for your minutiae. How long were you asleep for? Was the sofa comfy? Did you wake up with pins and needles from lying on your arm? We WANT TO KNOW. You're our very own celeb!! At what point did you have tea? What was it? Any more progress on the potato front? Do you ever hanker for chinese food?
Does YS ever read this blog? If so, I hope he knows how grateful we all are.
Have a scrummy weekend with John. I have a fun-filled time lined up rearranging the loft and putting plasterboard lining on the bathroom walls. Apparently it's called 'dab n daub' by tradespersons. Last night I made a cat scratching post, as I need a tall one but didn't want to spend £50 on one - so £2.97 on a fencepost and some leftover mdf and £15 for a roll of sisal and there we go. Sisal is awful stuff, my palms are burnt this morning from pulling it so hard last night (and there's not many other women can say that on a Friday morning). Tonight I'll fix the post bit onto the base bit and force the cats to use it.
Enjoy xx
Please let me know how scratching post works, Newcastlewench, as have two cats of my own (not called Greebo) who delight in scratching all the wrong things and who need to be taught the benefits of a sisal manicure.
Yes, Jonathan, hope you and John have fantastic weekend and are soon ready to rock-n-roll on the blog. We do miss the regular bulletins, you know.
Love

nannyogg - will do.
btw - hogfather is due on Sky at Christmas. Half of me can't wait, the other half thinks it will be just awful - like when they did that cartoon.
Yeah, know what you mean. Imagination can make everything bigger than life - and not just in books. But if Hogfather disappoints (though we'll hope not as David Jason is in it and he's a big TP fan), there is always the hope that some kind person will buy you Wintersmith for Christmas.
And I shall expect a helping of Jonathan's diary over Christmas, too - even though I am hoping to visit the tax inspector formerly known as "Mine's a red wine (bring the bottle)" during the Christmas break. It's not like we could become bored with your doings, Jonathan, after the past few months - everydayness is GOOD.
